Senior Financial Analyst, Planning and Treasury

Volvo Financial Services (VFS) is the captive finance arm of the Volvo Group, one of the world’s leading providers of commercial transport solutions. The company provides financial services for the truck, construction equipment, bus, aerospace and marine industries. The primary brands it supports are Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Mack Truck and Prevost Bus. VFS creates value for Volvo Group customers by providing solutions including customer financing and leasing, dealer financing, and other fee-based products, such as insurance. Financial services are delivered to customers through VFS with Volvo Group dealers, allowing customers to enjoy the benefits of a convenient, and one stop-shop experience.
This position will be responsible for performing financial and business analyses on asset portfolios, as well as will be part of planning and budgeting process. Additionally, the analyst will be accountable for cash management, debt forecasting and maintaining relationships with Volvo Treasury team.


  • Prepare various analyses and reports for leadership related to portfolio performance.
  • Monthly preparation of reserves analysis according to IFRS 9. It includes booking and reconciling the related accounts.
  • Update and refine Cost and Loss Factor analyses.
  • Coordinate all daily borrowings required to ensure VFS Canada is properly funded
  • Project funding need for long term borrowing each month
  • Perform match funding calculations to monitor the interest rate and liquidity risks associated with each portfolio and report to Global HQ
  • Provide operational support on the execution of monthly syndication tranches, including validation of the pool and documentation.
  • Perform calculation and payment of syndication early buy out, monthly settlement of rentals and interest settlement of wholesale participations.
  • Perform special projects as required to support management.


  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance,
  • CPA, CMA or CGA, required.


  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in financial planning, business analysis, cash management or in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial modeling, analysis and planning.
  • ​Financial services industry would be a plus.
