Manager or Sr Operations Analyst (EMEA) Capital Strategies Readiness
This position is responsible for the implementation of and/or the continued adherence to the VFS’ Capital Markets Operational Readiness Framework in EMEA. This individual will ensure VFS Capital Markets standards are met in EMEA and works with EMEA regional and local operations and accounting teams in the design, implementation and governance of capital markets operations infrastructure. Additionally this person is responsible for recommending sign-off on operational compliance as required under VFS Capital Markets Directive. This position within Volvo Financial Services Global Headquarters reports to the Director, Capital Strategies Readiness and Operations and will be located in an EMEA market. Title of Senior Analyst or Manager will be commensurate with the level of competencies, experience and overall qualifications possessed by the candidate.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining Capital Markets Readiness Program initiatives in EMEA for Volvo Financial Services Capital Strategies supported products.
Ensures VFS businesses have necessary infrastructure in place to execute and manage Capital Markets transactions:
Works with Capital Markets and business deal team to identify Readiness component of transactions and proposed platform builds
Evaluates existing business infrastructure capabilities using prescribed methodologies
Utilizes quality approach and rigor to identify process limitations and recommend solutions
Supports management of Capital Markets Readiness requirements pre and post close
Recommends market specific portfolio and transaction performance dashboards and other process controls
Monitors dashboards and engage with Capital Markets, business teams and other constituents to respond to issues identified
Promotes on-going assessment and continuous process improvement of local VFS markets via regular visits/communications
Develops/implements proven best practices with local VFS markets
Liaison with VFS Global HQ and EMEA Regional Management and business functions to ensure alignment and consistency in approach.
Ensures markets engaging in Capital Markets activities possess the resources, processes, systems and controls necessary to manage the ongoing operational requirements of a Capital Markets Transaction in full compliance with all related documentation, business policies and regulatory requirements though out its life cycle
Coordinates/manages recommendations for sign-off on operations compliance as required under VFS Capital Markets Directive
Develops strong relationships with Capital Markets, EMEA VFS business teams and functions including Regional and local DS&IT, and all credit and operations teams
Works with Internal Control in the testing of Capital Market processes and procedures based upon existing Operational Readiness sign off
Promotes quality assurance
Prepares contingency plans to deal with critical situations and emergencies.
Required Education and Experience
BA/BS in Business or related field; MBA preferred
5+ years of experience in capital markets and leasing/lending operations
Strong understanding of the customer finance processes and procedures
Knowledge of syndication, structured finance, securitization and hedging mechanics
Experience with technical writing and the documentation of complex systems and operations
Management experience is a plus
Strong communication, presentation skills and professional presence
Extensive knowledge of commercial finance processes and related IT implementations
Expert knowledge in Excel is desired
Working experience with contract management systems and data warehouse structures
Demonstrated ability to build successful internal and external business relationships
Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English; additional languages a plus
