Vehicle Architecture is a function within Vehicle Engineering with the responsibility to lead and secure the complete vehicle architecture for Volvo heavy duty trucks COE. Our main tasks span from long term strategies to detailed integration work in projects and the team consists of several different roles such as Vehicle Architects, Geometrical architects and Feature leaders. Our skilled team of 18 awesome engineers with a collaborative mind-set are eager to welcome you.
Role Description
As Feature Leader Fire Protection, you have a key role in the long term development, verification and validation of your feature. This requires that you build a solid feature knowledge about product usage, new technologies, competitors and future vision according to brand and market needs. Based on this knowledge, you will take an active role to in early development activities to secure that the right solutions are being developed.
In product projects you will be responsible for translating feature targets into requirements, contributing to concept selection, reporting the feature status during feature reviews and updating the verification and validation plan. You will deliver status reports to the gate openings, including approvals or proposals and requests for modifications of technical solutions. Some of the verification is performed at external suppliers and you will take an active role in the planning and execution of these tests.

Competence profile
  • Knowledge in Fire protection engineering
  • Experience from automotive engineering is an advantage
  • You have an open and positive attitude. The job requires that you create a strong network within and outside the company
  • Analytical, structured and solution oriented
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Engineering degree (BSc or MSc)
