VIE - Process improvement analyst H/F

You will work together with a team of purchasing and logistics professionals to understand and analyze current work processes, create improvement plans and then implement those improvements together with the team.
Secure optimized sourcing project management instructions: Review all sourcing project management documents to identify potentials to make it more efficient and clear. Review all RFQ documents communicated towards the supplier to identify potentials to make it more efficient and find potential savings opportunities.
Identify root causes for delays and inefficiencies: Perform a value stream mapping to look into the main stoppers to have a shorter and more efficient project setup. Find key focus areas and set up a plan for them.
Look into how Volvo Logistics purchasing can work with a project management tool, in order to centralize information, databases, stakeholders and to improve efficiency and structure in the way we work.
Benchmarks & best practices: Compare our current projects and identify why some projects are efficient, learn from them. Benchmark with other Volvo purchasing, logistics and project management functions.
KPIs and follow-up for sourcing projects: improve how we follow up the efficiency of the projects.
Identify how logistics purchasing can benefit from using new technology to improve process efficiency as well as how to improve our work together with our logistics partners, keep updated with new technology and research, and implement new ways of working based on the identified opportunities.

The Sourcing & Commodity management have a key role in the logistics organization and big impact of the results of the logistics purchasing function.
We contribute directly to the bottom-line results of Volvo Group and work with cost optimization, efficiency, sustainability and quality. You will work in an engaged and collaborative team where you get trusted with a high degree of autonomy and given support when needed.
- You are very structured, engaged and good at communicating and collaborating with others.
- You are a quick learner and have a good sense of data.
- It is very important that you have an improvement mindset and a “can do” attitude.
- You have a degree in engineering and/or business, preferably in supply chain, logistics or purchasing.
- If you have work experience in any of these areas it is an additional merit.
- You are comfortable working with new IT tools and software.
