We at Global Service Training in Parts and Service, Global Bus Technology; deliver world-class knowledge management solutions to our market trainers. We work in close cooperation with colleagues in all regions, other Parts and Service functions, Product development teams and Volvo Trucks. We develop training material and educate market trainers with right knowledge to prepare customers and dealers to repair and service Volvo buses. You will join a team of globally based colleagues in Mexico, Sweden, Poland and India.
From an uptime and customer satisfaction perspective, knowledge management is of utmost importance to customer and VBC. Global Service Training is responsible to develop this.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
One of the main customer touchpoints, a trainer has a very important task to build and share knowledge with market trainers related to service and repair of buses. The market trainers will in turn train service technicians at each market thereby building knowledge at workshops. The position reports to Manager, Global service Training.
Main activities and responsibilities
  • Training Material Development: Develop training material in accordance to projects and market needs
  • Train The Trainer: Deliver training sessions for market trainers
In this role, you will have an opportunity to prepare for the future of knowledge management, i.e., new ways to learn and teach.

You have good technical and product knowledge of heavy vehicles.
You like to work in a team cross functionally and want to contribute to developing and delivering world class knowledge management solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
  • A degree in technical area or equivalent
  • Technical and Electro mobility product knowledge
  • Excellent presentation, training and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (as all trainings will be in English)
  • Strong customer focus
  • Bus Driving license (category D) and 1000V electricity license are an advantage
